adapted Aesop’s fables with kiddos in mind
As a child, I cherished story-time right before bed, especially from the worn, red cloth vintage book filled with Aesop’s fables. Now as an adult, looking back I see how these key life lessons were turned into beautifully crafted metaphors that could capture even the most poorly-behaved child.
So as many of my friends begin to have children of their own, I wanted to pass along some of the morals that touched my life. Humanity, unfortunately doesn’t change all that much from century to century.
The below are my illustrations and adaptations of some of my favorite fables: Lion & the Mouse, Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing and The Crow & the Pitcher. Project ongoing …
